The Difference Between Sponsor and Recruiter.

The main reason why MLM Business Opportunities are so attractive is the residual income potential designed for the long term!

I gave a lot of thought to this article as to why most
People fail. The reasons seem to vary almost as much as
personalities vary. So today I will focus on the more common
reasons why people fail in a home based business.

The Difference Between Sponsor and Recruiter.

  • A Recruiter is a person who simply places people in their Home Business and that's all they do is called Funnel Marketing. They drop tons of people in the top and hope less will fall out the bottom. While this is somewhat effective for the big recruiters, it is a recipe for failure for the new or average marketer.
  • A Sponsor is a person who places people in their Home Business as a partner (part of their team). This person is coached and mentored to become successful. This is how new and average marketers become very successful.

The real truth is funnel marketing is neither effective or a wise choice in building your business , it never creates a stable residual income, you can never quit recruiting or it completely unravels.

The primary cause for the 90-120 Day quit cycle in todays so called business world. ("if I don't make money in 3 months, I am out of here")

Many people who begin to build business and quit rather than stick with it for just a little longer could have created a huge effect on their standard of living. If they only stayed and put in a serious effort instead of looking for that next best business. Ironically... the business they just quit may have been that golden opportunity they were looking for!

A more positive marketing method that actually works!

Very early on I learned if I helped a new member achieve break even point, in another words their product or service was no longer out of pocket, they become a customer for Life! That is creating true residual income designed to last!

This is what YOU want to copy and teach. Will everyone do this? No! I work with those who want to learn and willing to learn and share willingly with everyone. Create customers for life and you create residual income for life... simple as that.

Another problem with new people is they become so desparate they try and put
anyone in their business. How does this help their business or yours in the long run? Do you want an organization filled with tire kickers? How do we change this?

One suggestion is to take time with each new prospect and take an attitude test so to speak. I tell the McDonalds story before I sign them aboard, I ask a series of questions, "Do you what a McDonalds franchise now costs in your area?" and "Do you realise that price doesn't include the land or building costs?"

"Do you also know you have to graduate from hamburger college before you can flip that first burger?" Here's my point... I have never heard one single franchise owner ever say: "Scott, I have been at this for four months now and I am just not making what I expected to be making. I think I will sell this one and buy that Burger joint down the street, they look like there are doing more business than I am!"

That's a story I don't believe you will ever hear, you see they made a commitment to their business and that's what I am asking you to make today. Take your Home Business serious, give it a full year and then give yourself a report card and see your progress!

Hype... Lies... Myths...

Present your opportunity with integrity, truth and what benefit it has for them, not for you. Share what it has done for you, but focus on your prospect(s) not on yourself. They have to envision themselves doing the business. You have to give a prospect a reason to do your Home Business! You very well have a superior product or service BUT Remember... Everyone in that business claims that title. To be a product of the product you need your story. Stories sell and facts tell. No hype needed!

I never claim or tell income stories, I share our compensation plan and how they can maximize their income potential. I recently become involved with a company that is pretty and in under 90 days become executive director, I signed no so called super stars, I consider all my team members super stars in training, but all just average people with great attitudes and wanting to learn how to grow their home business. The greatest reward is seeing them grow and mature and seeing their lives improve! The real reward is watching them walk up on stage at an event. That's my report card! That's my reward!

Change your Mindset... change your income! Be that mentor, not a recruiter and watch your residual income grow into what you always dreamed about.

Set your goals, concentrate on your follow up. More new members come from follow up than any other method out there. If your follow up is weak, your closing rate will be in direct proportion to it. Work on those areas you need to improve, become the expert.

Be determined that failure is not an option. Be diligent, persistent,
And consistent!

To Your Success!
